Brain Micro-tissues

Brain Micro-tissues

Brain micro-tissues refer to three-dimensional reconstructed models that replicate the physiological complexity of the human brain on a smaller scale. These micro-tissues are generated by encapsulating primary or induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC)-derived neural precursor cells in a proprietary hydrogel matrix composed of chemically defined biomaterials. This provides the optimal micro-environment to activate natural, endogenous programs of neurodevelopment in vitro.

These micro-tissues provide a valuable platform for studying neural development, connectivity and function, and compound screening.
