Scaling Up Organoid Research: A New Approach with Assay-Ready Organoids

Organoids are three-dimensional (3D) multi-cellular, microtissues derived from stem cells that closely mimic the complex structure and functionality of human organs. They offer more accurate and physiologically relevant representation of complex in vivo cell responses and interactions compared to traditional 2D cell cultures. As such, they offer considerable potential for disease modelling, compound screening, and other applications. However, the difficulty of obtaining large quantities of reproducible, standardized organoids has hampered the wider adoption of these models, especially within drug discovery and development.
